In 2017, Sinopec Middle East Technology Company was established in the heart of Dhahran, adjacent to the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran Techno Valley. This headquarters houses administrative offices, a soil and rock sample analysis laboratory, and a research and development center.

A soil and fluid analysis laboratory was established in Dammam in 2025. It is considered one of the most modern laboratories in the region and is accredited by Saudi Aramco, the laboratory's primary client.
